Privacy Policy
Capital United, LLC ("Capital United," "we," "our" or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains information handled through this Cap-U Fuel Innovation 100 website (the "Site") and related inquiries. Separate notices may apply to investor onboarding, advisory relationships or other Capital United websites.
1. Website and services
Submitting the inquiry form sends the information you provide to Capital United through HubSpot so we can respond to your request. The Site uses optional analytics and advertising trackers with your permission. It uses essential storage for private-review access and your privacy choices.
HubSpot handles inquiry submissions and passes inquiry information to Salesforce. Tracking services include HubSpot tracking, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook), LinkedIn and Google Ads, with Google Tag Manager used for tag management. Salesforce supports customer relationship management, and Zapier supports backend integrations. These services are described separately below because an inquiry workflow and advertising tracking serve different purposes. The page containing the investor inquiry form is excluded from optional tracking. Optional tracking remains disabled unless permitted by your privacy choice. This policy and the Cookie Policy will be updated if the services or their purposes materially change.
2. Information we handle
- Information you choose to send: name, email, telephone number, country and location, company or firm, investor profile, investment range, accreditation basis, referral source, intended timing and your message.
- Technical information: hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested URLs, referrers, timestamps and security logs to deliver and protect the Site.
- Optional usage and advertising information: when enabled and permitted, analytics and advertising tools may process online identifiers, page views, campaign referrals, device/browser information and events such as an inquiry completion. Advertising services may use this information to measure campaigns or connect activity across websites and services.
- Separate investor verification: if you proceed toward investing, Capital United, the issuer or a verification provider may request information needed to verify eligibility through a separate process. The inquiry form does not complete verification and should not be used to send tax returns, account credentials, identity documents or other sensitive financial records.
3. How information is used
We use inquiry information to respond, provide requested materials, manage relationships and follow up about your request. The form submits to HubSpot, which passes inquiry information to Salesforce. Zapier supports backend integrations for those purposes. Declining optional cookies does not prevent you from making an inquiry or receiving a response.
Information may also be used to operate and protect the Site, prevent fraud, maintain required business records, comply with law and, where permitted, send communications you can unsubscribe from. The inquiry form does not enroll you in SMS marketing.
Optional analytics helps us understand use of the Site. Optional advertising tools help measure campaigns and may support retargeting or audience matching. We do not send form messages, accreditation details, investment amounts, verification documents or account information to advertising platforms, or use those details for advertising targeting. Any future identifier-matching integration must be disclosed and configured consistently with the privacy choices described here.
4. Recipients and service providers
Information may be handled by providers supporting hosting, security, email, analytics, CRM, workflow automation, advertising or investor verification. The providers are named in Section 1. Processing by a provider may also be governed by its own privacy terms, depending on its role.
Information may be disclosed to affiliated funds and professional advisers where needed to handle an inquiry or investment, to authorities where legally required, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transaction such as a reorganization. We do not sell inquiry information for money. Advertising-related disclosures, when enabled, may nevertheless be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California or other applicable privacy laws.
5. Cookies and privacy choices
Optional analytics and advertising are off unless you enable them. Use to accept, reject or change your selection. Use to turn optional tracking off in this browser. We honor a recognized Global Privacy Control signal by keeping optional analytics and advertising off. The Cookie Policy explains storage, categories and how choices work.
These controls apply to this browser and device. If you use another browser or clear stored choices, you may need to make the choice again; a recognized Global Privacy Control signal continues to apply. You can also contact us about an opt-out or privacy request connected to information we hold about you. Withdrawing optional tracking does not undo information already lawfully processed.
6. Retention and security
We retain inquiry and business records as needed for the relevant relationship, applicable recordkeeping duties, security, disputes and legal obligations. The period depends on the type of record and the reason it is held. Optional-provider retention settings and cookie durations will be documented before those integrations are activated.
We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other jurisdictions in which they operate.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain uses and disclosures. Access, correction and deletion requests may require identity verification and are subject to applicable exceptions and retention duties. You do not need to verify your identity or create an account to opt out of sale or sharing. California residents should read the California Privacy Notice.
Email privacy@capunited.com or write to the address below to make a request. Include enough information to describe your request and allow us to respond, but do not send passwords or full account credentials. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in the message or contact us.
8. Children and external websites
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us. External websites and your email provider have their own privacy practices; this policy does not govern them.
9. Changes and contact
The date above identifies this version. Material changes to purposes, technologies or privacy choices will be reflected in the policy and communicated as required by applicable law.
